The Top Life project was founded in Italy in June 2021 by MUDr. Cristina Tomasi and her team. Cristina leads as CEO and Ideator at Top Life Project together with Andrea Fontana, Partner and CMO, and Jacopo La Porta, Partner and CTO.

Cristina is a physician specializing in internal medicine, angiology, osteoporosis, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and orthomolecular medicine. She has been educating those interested in health since she was in university where she ran a health magazine. Since then, she has spoken at hundreds of health conferences and built a presence as a health educator on social media.
It was Cristina’s battle with cancer in 2006 that served as the catalyst for her passion for lifestyle medicine: a combination of holistic health practices helped her recovery and convinced her that when people are properly informed, they can make the right decisions for their health. .
Andrea has extensive experience in marketing management, with experience in marketing consulting in the music industry, video production and photography. Jacopo is a long-time IT architect, passionate about web services and disruptive business models. He was also an early adopter of cryptocurrencies, back in 2008.

Top Life Project started their eCommerce business on WooCommerce in January 2023 – they only sell directly to consumers through their WordPress multisite installations.
When they launched the Top Life project in 2023, their annual revenue included reaching €500,000 in revenue.
By the end of 2023, they exceeded this threshold by 59% and serve almost 18,000 active users – with an average order value of €80.
This success came from the first launch of their brand in early 2023 in conjunction with the launch of red-therapy.com in October. In just three months, Red Therapy contributed an additional €54,000 in revenue.
Top Life found that 40% of their orders were from repeat customers, indicating a high level of customer satisfaction with their products and services.

Through these four brands, Top Life Project offers a range of different products and services to its customers, including digital products such as courses, webinars and e-books; and physical products such as red light lamps, mattresses, and food.
The team updates their site with new products every other month and is working on subscription-based offers.
While each site is a Top Life Project owned brand, Red Therapy and Top Sleeping act as product sellers. All of their websites are managed through WordPress Multisite.
For Top Life Project, the choice of Woo for their e-commerce platform was obvious: “We chose Woo from the beginning because of its scalability,” they noted. “It has a huge variety of plugins to choose from and you can easily find a developer to customize everything.”

Top Life Project manages health data from many of its customers, so data security is extremely important to their business. To protect their customers, TLP has taken their data security to the next level by using blockchain technology along with their WooCommerce website.
“We use blockchain with anonymization and an intermediary platform to guarantee the veracity of data and information, while always keeping the data anonymous,” the team said.

In April 2024, TLP added a new portal to its customer dashboard. The portal is connected to their Console Plus blockchain infrastructure, which will serve as the back-end of their medical health index. This new experience allows customers to upload and sync their health data, fully anonymized, and keep it secure on the blockchain – giving them new insights into how to improve their health.
Much of TLP’s incredible success was due to product market events. They experience significant peaks in sales when launching new offers, with a single launch recording up to €190,000.
TLP attributes this success to their ability to create hype and excitement around their product launches. For one such event, they had 8,000 people sign up – in Italy alone – to be notified of the product launch.
The next launch in June 2023 (only five months after their e-commerce) saw 2,000 orders in just seven days. Cristina promotes these launches through Instagram reels and Meta ads, proving a highly engaged audience.
TLP successfully promoted these launches through influencer marketing and sales funnels built on Funnelish.com – a marketing tool they synced with WooCommerce through a Zapier integration.
“These launches have been a huge success,” shared CMO Andrea Fontana, “but we’re already looking at the next phase of our business. The subscription model will help normalize our cash flow and offset the sales spikes that come with launching our products.”
Given their huge success to date, one might think that the Top Life Project would feel settled in their business – it certainly seems that way. However, the team is humble and driven for more.
They are currently working on an international expansion plan that will bring their business first from Italy to Europe and then to the rest of the world.
The first 18 months (at the time of writing) have been amazing, but they still count as ground zero. There is still work to do and many more ways they can help their customers build healthier lives.
